Alexis Ladora Dobson Turns 1

Alexis has turned 1. I can't belive it. It's too soon. She's so perfect and beautiful. I love her so much. Bubblesworth got this little scooter toy from Grandma and Grandpa Coleman. She got a Little People Farm with animals from Mom and Dad and some books and clothes and other toys from the rest of the family.

This is her Lion Birthday Cake. So very cute.

This is Alexis before.....

After!

No she didn't eat the whole thing. After touching the frosting for 10 minutes I finally pulled out one of the cup cakes and set it down...that's when things got messy. Oh boy does she LOVE cake!

This is Mrs. Bubblesworth waving. Behind her is the pony she got from Grandma and Grandpa Edwards...she likes to get on and rock. The pony also sings and talks and his mouth moves...it's great fun.

Happy 1st Birthday baby girl!

Yes people... I know it's July and I'm blogging about Easter. I just hate to skip over everything that has happened and start blogging about today...especially when I have so many cute pictures to share.

Aren't they cute? (even though Lexy is so tired).

117 Days

Hello, my name is Amy and I'm a blog o' holic. It has been 117 days since my last blog and I've come today to apologize...mostly to myself but to readers as well. Life has become extra crazy these last 117 days, it will take me a few postings to get everyone up to speed.

Back in March we went out to the middle of nowwhere and watched crazy people shoot off rockets. It was really cold, but once they started shooting off the rockets it was really fun!

The Rockets would shoot straight up into the sky...up, up, up and then they'd arch over and start coming back down. Once they were on their way back down parachutes would pop out from the top and they would coast back down to the ground. A few had some pretty close calls as the parachutes didn't pop out until the last second. Awesome!

She Stands...She Walks

So Alexis decided a month or so ago that she's ready to stand.

Isn't she cute!!!! Ahhh

The last three weeks she's been walking around holding onto things...it's only a matter of time before she'll be walking along the couch and get to the end and just keep on walking. She gets around pretty good now. My little bubbles is growing too fast.

Unfortunately Amy

Google "Unfortunately [your name]" and post the results. :)
Unfortunately, Amy is immediately smitten with the well-dressed hunk, and it isn't long before Jacques, despite his ruthless professional instincts...” ...(What does he do???)

Unfortunately, Amy doesn't fulfil the criteria for a powered chair because she has some ability to self propel. (True.. I can do that, but that chair would be awful nice)

Amy hopes that by providing regular updates we can keep readers informed as she works toward the 2012 Olympics in London. Unfortunately Amy is rarely able ...(Again True...I am rarely able...but I'm looking forward to the 2012 Olympics)

Unfortunately, Amy's had enough of all that good clean living in the tropics, and is headed back to England to reunite with ... her husband. ... (I sure hope Shane knows to meet me there)

Unfortunately, Amy's story may sound all too familiar to many people as it is revealed in congressional investigation that nearly one in ten students in the ...(and I thought I was unique)

Dr. Zoidberg crashes Amy's new car, and grafts Fry's head onto her body in order to keep him alive until they can return to Earth. Unfortunately, Amy and Fry break up upon their return. (Awkward)

Unfortunately, Amy lost everyone's money. Her guilt led her to begin doing charity work, but this didn't suit Amy and everyone saw straight through it. ... (Yeah I'm not much of a giver..LOL)

Unfortunately, Amy and Dan are nowhere near as likable as the aforementioned protagonists, which leads me to... Issue #4: I wanted Amy and Dan to die. ... (YIKES!!)

Unfortunately Amy wasn't sure what the music meant, but kept her signature sense of humor about it (I'm glad someone thinks I'm funny.)
Thanks Connie for that fun activity. Sorry Amy Morgan...your results will be the same...LOL feel free to copy and paste. :)

Updates

Hello out there. It's been awhile since last I made a post. A lot of things have changed for us.

First, I got a new job. I am now a Provider Relations person for TruHearing. They specialize in discount hearing aids and we have Audiologists and Hearing Instrument Specialists all over the country that I get to talk to every day.

Second, Shane is the best stay-at-home Daddy there ever was. He takes care of Alexis and Allison and Caden and the dogs. I come home to a beautifully clean house and dinner on the table every night. It's freakin' awesome.

Third, Alexis is 9 months now and is standing up now without holding onto anything. She'll just stand there and eventually fall on her bum. She has yet to atempt walking. She also crawls all over the house and gets into everything. Her favorite is going for the dog food bowls and pulling all the dvd's out of the cabinet. We just took her to her 9 month check up and she's 24 inches tall and 18 lbs.

Fourth, Caden is addicted to video games. That is all he can think about. I think we may need to have an intervention and send him to rehab. :)

Fifth, Allison is doing great. She got a I-pod dock that is also a radio and alarm clock for Christmas and ever since she has set her alarm and gotten herself up and dressed and ready for school on her own. She sure is growing up. She was also a great Theodore Roosevelt for her school "wax museum" project. I'll post pictures of that soon.

All in all we're still surviving. I don't feel like I have enough time anymore, so that is why my posts have been few and far between latley. I will try to make a concious effort to think of ideas and things to blog about. I guess that's all for now.

Happiness

Ok, so yesterday was my dad's birthday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!

And today my baby is 8 months old.

Has it been 8 months all ready?

She's crawling all over the place.

She's pulling herself up and standing now.

She makes this weird alien sound that's kinda creepy.
She loves ice cream. (I probably shouldn't give her that yet, but I figure the tiny bit I give her won't hurt). ;0
Her hair is getting longer and darker.
Her eyes are still large and blue with long, long lashes.
She smiles and laughs and crawls to me and she still likes to sit on my lap better then sitting on the floor.
She's so precious and so perfect I couldn't have asked for anything more.

So Happy 8 Months Alexis "bubbles" Dobson, and Happy Birthday Dad!
