Happy 6 Months!

Happy six months Mrs. Bubblesworth.

Alexis weighs in at 16 lbs. 1 0z and is 24" tall. The dr. showed us her weight/height on the growth chart and she is 50% head, 50% weight, and 50% height. Then he told us that she's a perfect baby and he wouldn't change a thing about her. I said, "I know, neither would I".

We love you so much and can't imagine our life without you.

*Disclaimer: This post should have been posted on November 12th. However, her 6 month check up wasn't until the following week and then once I had the information, I no longer had internet access...long story short...ha ha... I now have internet access and will be posting regularly again.

Introducing....

ALLISON MACKENZIE DOBSON!!!

Shane adopted Allison on Friday, November 7, 2008. It was a fun day. Grandma and Grandpa Coleman and Grandma Edwards met us at the courthouse. Our lawyer T.R. Morgan came and ran through the questions he'd be asking us. We had to wait for a little while, but we were finally in front of the judge. T.R. asked us the questions and had us each sign a paper. Then the judge wisphered something to his court clerk and she came down and asked Allison to follow her. No one knew what was going on. I'm thinking...what did we do wrong? Where are they taking her? Shane and I looked at each other and then at T.R. and he shrugged his shoulders. Finally we saw Allison come out and stand next to the judge.

The judge showed Allison the paper and told her that once he signs and stamps that paper Shane will be her Dad and her name will be Allison Dobson. He asked her if that's what she wanted and she said yes, so he signed the paper and then placed the stamp where it needed to be then he said, "Ok Allison if you're sure this is what you want just press down on the stamp." So Allison stamped the papers and it was official. I thought that was really cool of the judge to let her do that. I'm sure we'll remember that for a long time to come.

After the court hearing we went to lunch at the Olive with Grandma and Grandpa Coleman. Later that night Shane's sisters and their kids and husbands came over and we visted and had cake and cookies.
